HANNOVER MESSE 2016: Wrap-up and "Energy Management"

HANNOVER MESSE 2016 has ended and BOLDLY GO INDUSTRIES can look back on a successful week. BOLDLY GO INDUSTRIES presented its solutions at the SAP stand with a twelve-person team and a showcase that drew many visitors. The exhibit focused on the topic of energy management, specifically “Digitalizing all energy-related production processes”. This topic helped BOLDLY GO INDUSTRIES make an important contribution to one of the trade fair’s key themes: “Integrated Energy”.

Hot Topic – Industry 4.0

More than 190,000 professionals visited the over 5,200 exhibitors during the five days of the event. This was a considerable increase in the number of visitors to HANNOVER MESSE compared to the previous year. “Integrated Industry – Discover Solutions” was the slogan HANNOVER MESSE used to solidify its reputation as the “global hotspot for Industry 4.0”. Never before have there been so many concrete application examples for the digitalization of production at a single trade fair.

Focus on Energy Management

The BOLDLY GO INDUSTRIES showcase played a key part in this and piqued the interest of the many professional visitors to the fair. Key themes included Total Resource Management, Energy Management 4.0, Product Cloud & Smart Services, Customer & Service Portals and Human Machine Interfaces, and the exhibit demonstrated an ISO 50001-based energy management system, developed as a cloud-based SAP application. This solution provides businesses with transparency on their high-energy-consumption value and material flows in the context of a holistic factory setting.

Presentation on Total Resource Management

BOLDLY GO INDUSTRIES also delivered a presentation on the topic of energy management at HANNOVER MESSE 2016: Senior Consultant Artem Böhme presented interested audience members his thoughts on “Innovative Energy Management” based on the ISO 50001 standard in the SAP Live Forum. SAP Fiori applications were integrated in a user-oriented management dashboard as part of the presentation. The HANA Cloud Platform serves as a central, role-based platform for the three basic user roles management, energy manager or production manager. This application makes it possible to identify individual energy efficiency targets for each customer. The presentation slides in German language are available for download below.
